Aggressive Persuasion

is but one of ten bands on a scintillatingly scary bill touted as “The Immaturity Show” and slated to hit the Aztlan Theatre on Saturday, August 11. Though the Pueblo-based quartet’s origins reinforce the values of the nuclear family — the band began shortly after leader David Bryant’s grandparents bought him a drum set; his sister, Misty, now handles bass duty — the sound seems designed to rattle listeners on a cellular level. The band’s take on crushing hardcore makes it a good fit with the rest of the Immature bands, all of whom hail from Colorado: Mindstate, Makeshift Revolution, Faze, Num, Fomofuiab, Filth Industry, Sickbox, 4 Head Scream and Sidhe. The all-ages event begins at 2 p.m. and promises ten hours of jarring, juvenile fun.
