Jack White played a surprise Denver show last month at the Bluebird Theater, and it was an audacious yet humble return to a local small venue. (Fun fact: While most rock stars demand thousands of dollars' worth of catering, booze and other amenities for their backstage enjoyment when they play a concert, a runner for AEG recently told Westword that the only thing White asked for at the Bluebird show was a few cases of water. Man of the people, that guy.)

The former White Stripes frontman has always seemed to have a soft spot for Denver, and now he's proving it once again — by returning to the city to play the Mission Ballroom for two nights in 2025, on Thursday, May 8, and Friday, May 9. Tickets go on sale November 22 at axs.com, with pre-sales starting November 15. Even cooler, there will be a limited number of first-come, first-served tickets available for just $20 at the Mission box office on May 8 and 9 â€” and only to students.

White also dropped a new video today. Surprise, surprise, it's yet another blistering example of his trademark bluesy, pounding garage rock.
