Looks like Christmas has come early for John Kinsner. This afternoon, the Walnut Room’s former talent buyer, who moved to Los Angeles this past fall, accepted a position with AEG Live at its LA Live Campus as the new production manager for the Nokia Theatre.

As part of his duties, Kinsner, along with the other production manager, Ryan Golden, will be tasked with helping produce the Grammys, American Idol and the American Music Awards, among other events at the 7,100 capacity arena.

Prior to taking over booking duties from Mark Sundermier at the Walnut Room in 2007, Kisner worked as stage manager at the Fillmore with Live Nation, did a season of stage management at Red Rocks for their Film on the Rocks series and was a production assistant at World Arena in Colorado Springs.
