UPDATE: The show has officially been canceled. Tickets will be refunded at the point of purchase.

Our fellows in St. Louis at A to Z, the Riverfront Times music blog, are reporting that the notoriously wild garage rockers King Khan and BBQ Show were a no-show for their nearly sold-out performance there the other night. It turns out the band was delayed, perhaps indefinitely, when their tour manager/driver was arrested for driving with a suspended license and possession of a controlled substance (unspecified which controlled substance...) in the tiny, where-the-fuck-is-that town of Oak Grove, Kentucky.

While neither of the band members (Arish Khan or Mark Sultan) were arrested, they have canceled tonight's show in Lawrence, Kansas. No word yet on Saturday's show here in Denver at the Bluebird, so keep your fingers crossed -- maybe they can pull off some crazy, Cannonball Run kind of shit and make it here in time... We'll update if/when we get official word either way and you can get additional details on the whole mess at the Riverfront Times' blog about it.
