En Stereo, the brainchild of Mane Rok and Prime Element producer Es-Nine, is the quintessential tribute to the DJ/MC combination. Mane’s writing is determined, and his execution on each track is classic, reminiscent of the rapping style that birthed hip-hop. Es-Nine, who crafted all the beats, exhibits an especially strong range on the track “Beast Mode,” which features Mane, Ichiban and Deca spitting their verses over different beats with perfect transitions between them. For his part, Deca shines on this joint with the line “I stay on point like ballerinas with track marks.” Mane Rok and Es-Nine took it back to the early ’90s with this one, and they knocked it out of the park.
