Matson Jones. 'Memba them? Chamber-driven badasses, named Denver's Best New Band in 2005, signed to Sympathy for the Recording Industry, now dearly departed and all that? Yeah, pretty awesome, right? Well, we just received word that the co-ed quartet is returning to perform a pair of shows, the first on Thursday, July 24 at the Bluebird Theater, and then the following night, Friday, July 25, at the Aggie. The members, who have been on hiatus for the past few years, living life and going to school, must've missed being on stage, because they're reportedly planning on playing a few more dates sometime in the future. -- Dave Herrera
