The thick and sludgy new album from the Melvins, The Bride Screamed Murder, released last week on Ipecac, grabbed the top spot at Albums on the Hill and came in fourth at Twist & Shout for the week ending June 6. Jack Johnson’s new platter, To the Sea, meanwhile, released last week on his Brushfire imprint, came in first at Independent, and took the third slot at Twist & Shout, while the Black Keys new album, Brothers, and Nas & Damian “Jr. Gong” Marley’s Distant Relatives continue to hold ground.
