Here's what's happening in music on the Front Range this week: On the concert front, shows from Paul Simon, Amos Lee and Matisyahu were announced. On local radio specialty shows, Whiskey Bottles, Petals of Spain and Hot IQsall got some spins. Meanwhile, at our local record stores, new and recent releases from the Primus, Lil Wayne and Umphree's McGee were among this week's top sellers. Click through for a complete rundown.


This Just In: New Concerts and On-sale Dates


Amos Lee, who's touring in support of his fourth album, Mission Bell, will be at the Temple Buell Theatre on Friday, December 9 with Brett Dennen opening. Tickets ($30.50-$51) go on sale Saturday, September 24 at 10 a.m. After Social Distortion sold out its December 4 show at the Ogden Theatre, a second date was added on Saturday, December 4. Tickets ($30) are on sale now. Matisyahu returns to the area for a pair of dates; Thursday, Decemeber 15 at the Boulder Theater and Saturday, December 17 at the Ogden Theatre. Tickets for the both shows go on sale Saturday, September 24 at 10 a.m.
