The Salty Dog is slated to open in early October in the former Mo’s space, 1037 Broadway, which closed last January after a two-year-plus run. The dog-friendly sports tavern will serve Colorado craft brews and be a Colorado State University alumni bar.

Owner Justin Henry says via Facebook that every weekday from 4 to 7 p.m., the back patio is turned into a dog park and that “the main tavern and upper patio are also pet friendly however during busy times we need to make sure no paws get stepped on.”

The bar will have DJs and live music to kick back with, Henry adds, “But if you’re in the mood to dance the night away please visit our neighbors and their world famous dance clubs.” Keep an eye on Backbeat. We’ll have more details as they become available.
