You liked the original, but maybe you love the cover even more! Left Hand Brewing in Longmont brought back its fifth annual Leftapalooza and Mile High Tribute Band Competition last weekend, featuring cover acts from all over the country. They included Paradise Theater (Styx), Dirty Femmes (Violent Femmes), REMember (REM), Hey, Lady! (The B-52s), and eventual winner: My Blue Sky (The Allman Brothers). In addition to the music, the event showcased Left Hand’s award-winning craft beer. Leftapalooza was also a benefit concert for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society & the Left Hand Brewing Foundation. Before this year, Leftapalooza had raised more than $102,000.

Westword photographer Brandon Marshall was there. You can see a few photos here, or check out our entire Leftapalooza slideshow.
