St. Vincent, born Annie Erin Clark, is a genre-defying musician known for her intricate guitar work, theatrical performances and boundary-pushing songwriting. Since launching her solo career, she has collaborated with artists like David Byrne, won multiple Grammy Awards, and developed a distinctive sound blending rock, electronic, and art-pop elements. St Vincent performed at Mission Ballroom on Friday, May 16 with support from Black Country, New Road.

Her stage name, St. Vincent, comes from a line in the Nick Cave song "There She Goes, My Beautiful World," referencing St. Vincent's hospital in Greenwich Village.
