People love to hate Poison, but the band's members are having too much fun to care. They tour faithfully, coming around Denver almost every year -- and just as faithfully, fans keep showing up to hear them play. Because playing is what Poison's always been about: pleasure in its many forms. "Nothing But a Good Time," the song promises, and this group delivers, with glitzy guitars, oh-so-catchy rhythms, sticky-sweet ballads and lighthearted pop metal. The musicians have always laughed at themselves, and their intoxicating merriment earned them hit after hit in the late '80s and early '90s. Even today, a Poison show is a party -- and everyone's invited. Revel in the band's poisonously cheesy texture, lap lasciviously at its raunchy rock-and-roll goo, sing along at high volume, and don't worry about glam rock's side effects until the next morning. The members of Poison will "Talk Dirty" with Kiss at Coors Amphitheatre this Tuesday, June 15. So follow the boys' advice and just Open Up and Say...Ahh.
