Rock Island heads out for a new adventure with Beat Jungle, presented by IWS every Wednesday night beginning November 15. Each week, the Jungle will feature guest graffiti artists and a changing roster of DJs and live musicians, with the first nights festivities led by Minezai; DJs EK77, VAJRA, 120 and Timbuk will also be turning tables. In between listening to some excellent freestyle, you can bust a move on the dance floor, Michael Jackson style. Or you can just watch the live dancers as they give an update on the white-socks-and-loafers moves that made Mikey popular many moons ago. With any luck, this upbeat hip-hop environment will convert even the most reserved observers into dancing fools.
