It's not unusual these days to see a Denver band performing on national television. But this Friday morning, it will be a little more gratifying seeing another beloved longtime local act finally get a few minutes in the spotlight when the Railbenders appear on the Today Show performing "Time to Ride," a reworked version of their tune "Gunfight." The occasion? Some sporting event in New York this weekend, apparently.

Just in time for the Denver Broncos' seventh Super Bowl appearance, Jim Dalton and company updated the song from their 2005 record, Showdown, with new lyrics in honor of home team. If you're not an early rise, you can set your DVR or see you can come down to Tavern Downtown at 4 a.m. and see the segment filmed live. In the meantime, listen to "Time to Ride," which originally premiered on Prime Time Sports with Andy Lindahl on 850 KOA a few weeks ago.
