Squeaky Feet embodies the essence of how contemporary jam bands are formed. Guitarists Colin Shore and Greg King, bassist Jimmy Finnegan, keyboardist Brian Keller and drummer Kevin D’Angelo bring energy from their respective corners of the country, blending their influences into a force within the Denver jam-band scene.
The band has been making steady appearances around Colorado this year, opening for Pigeons Playing Ping Pong at the Boulder Theater on March 7 and co-headlining with Sqwerv at the Caribou Room in Nederland on April 5.
This past summer, Squeaky Feet took the next step by showcasing its curated sound at festivals including the Outside Festival at Civic Center Park in May and Secret Dreams in Legend Valley, Ohio, in July. Shore says that festival performances have challenged the band in new ways.
“Having to dial in to a shorter set and still make it effective is something that we needed to learn how to work on,” Shore says. “I think we came away with the ability to be more concise.”

For Shore, adjusting to new crowds not typically immersed in jam music has also been a rewarding shift.
“EDM fans expect a certain type of built-up tension and release with their music, which I do think overlaps with jam,” he says.
With that experience under its belt, Squeaky Feet remains hungry to evolve. On Friday, October 10, the band will headline Cervantes’ Masterpiece Ballroom for the first time, with support from Hipsnacks and Toadstool.
“This show is an opportunity for us to really showcase the musical repertoire we’ve gained on the road, in front of a hometown crowd,” King said. “It will be good to start tour with close friends and fans. Hopefully that will be a good kick-off before we head out of the state for a couple weeks.”

The concert will feature a culmination of progressive sounds from Shore and King, with space to stretch out their improvisation. Combined with the energy of Denver fans, the night is set to cement Squeaky Feet as one of the next breakout jam bands in Colorado.
The new single, “Common Ground,” offers a glimpse of what’s to come on the band’s upcoming studio album. King, who wrote the lyrics, says he drew inspiration from a rock icon.
“I had been listening to a lot of Dave Grohl,” he says. “I wanted to introduce more rock instead of the usual prog that we have been releasing.”
The track radiates a timeless rock feel, transitioning from technical guitar riffs by Shore and King into a smooth, flowing passage orchestrated by Keller on keys. The second half of the song shifts into an entirely different mood, highlighting the band’s dynamic range.
Following its Denver headline debut, Squeaky Feet will embark on a sixteen-date tour through the end of 2025, including eight co-headline shows with Dizgo.
“You feed off each other as a band,” Shore said. “We don’t really mention it out loud, but internally you’re feeding off them and they’re feeding off of you.”
The show at Cervantes’ Masterpiece Ballroom is expected to be a milestone remembered by both fans and the band. The historic Denver venue has long been a proving ground for rising artists, and Squeaky Feet is poised to make the most of the moment.
