Thursday is the New Friday: Weapons of Mass Creation, Might Diamonds, DJ Icey and more

In case you've been working your fingers to the bone all the week and haven't had a single second to notice, the weekend is just a few hours away. What's that? Yes, we know it's only Thursday. But Thursday, as we keep saying, is the new Friday. And as you'll see from tonight's dance card, there's plenty of goodness going down tonight to bolster that notion. Have a look. Thursday I'm in love.

Beauty Bar has joined forces with Got Bass Music to bring you Thrash Dance Thursdays with the sounds of Dillon Francis, Dj Vajra, Rainbow Wheel of Death, Vinnie Maniscalco and Seth Abrumz. Did you get your tickets yet? If so, you managed to save $2, because these tickets go up to $10 on the day of, which is, uh, today.

Crown City Rockers very own Raashan Ahmad will be laying it down hard at the 900 Pound Gorilla Hip-Hop Cypher at the Rex Lounge just north of Coors Field. Past cyphers have brought out ILLSe7en, Smallboifunk and Brer Rabbit -- and this one will surely educate and illuminate for just $7 at the door with the show starting at 9pm.

Bacaros in Boulder is hosting a ladies night out with Goodall x Tip-Z starting at 9pm. The bar will be open before that, but after 9 p.m. you must be 21 or older to party. There's no entry fee to get in, and the late-night happy hour is $3 beers with $5 doubles running until the bar closes. Heavy dubstep and electro awaits -- and so do the ladies.

Cervantes has got nothing going on in the Ballroom tonight, but the Otherside will be feelin' the vibes with the help of The Mighty Diamonds. Hopefully, some reggae will persuade the weather to stay dry and hot, but if Mighty Diamonds can't hold it down, openers Lion Souljahs and Weapons of Mass Creation will with some breaking, percussive beats.

Vinyl hosts the weekly Reggae on the Roof with Chief Rocka and Versatile - doors open at 9pm and the rooftop is prime for some summer cocktails and convo. Funky Buddha's Beat the Clock with DJ IZ and B Money is getting started around the same time with that tricky drink special that gets more expensive as the night presses on. Drink early, leave late and be safe. DJ Danny Martinez will be spinning Top 40 hits at The Church tonight and with ladies getting in free until 11pm, anyone should be able to find a dancing partner.

DJ Icey will be killin' it at Beta with Trajikk and Sergio Santana. Tickets are available through Beta, but the website has a $2 surcharge, so you can purchase them at the door for $10.
