The Flaming Lips and Primus co-headline Red Rocks Amphitheatre tonight for a special show. Yes, the Lips are covering Dark Side of The Moon in its entirety, but the band has also asked Denver’s own Lizzie Allen of Vitamins to join them. In fact, the local vocalist has already joined the band for several shows across the U.S. this summer, which she explained to us in detail.

Over the Oklahoma psych rockers twenty-plus years together, the group has built a rabid fan base, drawn in not only by the music, but the full-on experience of live shows. In this time, the band has also released more than a dozen studio albums, a film and a live DVD capturing just some of the uniqueness discovered at each Flaming Lips concert. This show is sold out.
