Tonight: Girls Walk By at 3 Kings

Yet another great project featuring Suzi Bromfield, Girls Walk By is a guitar-pop band, yes, but in a Pixies kind of way. Three-part harmonies and surf guitar abound, but the darkness saturating the vocals and instrumentation is what gives the quartet an distinction beyond its psychadelic undertones.

While the reverb-drenched lo-fi sound definitely made an imprint on 2010, the group takes this retro idea and runs further with it, hiding tambourine shakes under more a pleasantly complex song structure. Girls Walk By plays with Lust-Cats of the Gutters tonight for just $5. This show is 21 and up with doors opening at 8 p.m. and show starting around 9 p.m.
