Support the independent voice of Denver and help keep the future of Westword free.
Paleo (performing tonight at the hi-dive with Glowing House and John Davey) is the chosen stage name for David Strackany, a singer-songwriter who once lived out of his car while traveling the country and playing hundreds of shows. There isn't much to his music in the way of instrumentation or frilly sonic accoutrements -- rather, it's just Strackany's beautifully cracked voice accompanied by a guitar guiding his personal tales.
Along with his own 365-song a day project running from 2006 to 2007, Paleo has released several albums, including this year's Fruit of the Spirit. This show is eighteen-and-up, and tickets are $8-$11. Doors open at 8 p.m., performances begin at 9.
