Total Ghost appears to be having some existential despair. “We have made love with over 37 different space genders/We have raised glasses of moon champagne with foreign dignitaries/We have snorted asteroid dust off the boobies of space prostitutes/And we realized: Something is missing.” The sophomore release from this Euro-trash duo functions brilliantly as a musical comedy album, and it could almost work as a legit collection of dance music, if you could get through a song without falling on the floor laughing. Imagine Kraftwerk being commissioned to record the theme song for an ’80s TV series about the future, sprinkle in a little dubstep here and there, then smother it all with hypersexual imagery about riding Jet Skis through space while having sex with robots, and you’ll get the idea.
