Our end-of-year membership drive is well underway at Westword. Since the campaign kicked off in early November, we’ve already welcomed 112 new members who support our journalism.
Still, we’re just over halfway to our goal of $50,000. To help us get closer, we’re offered a special member perk: a pop-up concert with Autumnal, a folk quartet out of Fort Collins. To make the event even cooler, we teamed up with the rad team behind Denver brand Topo Designs to host the event.

Thank you to everyone who joined us on December 19 at the Topo Designs Base Camp store for this intimate performance. After the set, we chatted with Autumnal about creating music, friendship, the importance of the outdoors, Fort Collins, and what’s on the horizon (their sophomore album). Members who attended got a 20 percent discount on in-store purchases and complimentary beverages.
Denver, make your New Year’s Resolution Count!
We’re $13,000 away from reaching our $50,000 year-end fundraising goal. Your support could be what pushes us over the top. If our work has kept you informed and connected this year, please consider making a contribution today.

For this set, lifelong friends Annalee Knies (vocals, guitar) and Geneva Hein (vocals) blended harmonies and ethereal tones. Watch the duo perform “Humming Song,” the closing track off their debut album.
