Update: We've picked a winner! Thanks to all who gave us suggestions — we continue to be amazed at the number of exceptional artists in Colorado and fans who support them.

The Westword Music Showcase will return to over a dozen stages in the Golden Triangle neighborhood on June 20, 2015. This year's headliners include Flume, the Black Angels and Misterwives, and we've got plenty more planned!

Tickets don't go on sale until next Friday (although you can get access to an exclusive pre-sale by signing up for our Music Newsletter today). However! You can win a pair of VIP tickets right now through Westword Music. Here's what you have to do:

Over 100 Colorado bands and artists will also play this year's Showcase. Tell us who you'd like to see on the lineup using the #westwordshow hashtag on Twitter, and tell us why you think they should be included.

It's worth noting that we select bands for the Showcase lineup based on our annual Westword Music Awards ballot. The finalists there are determined by a panel of experts, and we'll be announcing it shortly. So we can't make any guarantees about actually booking your favorite band. But we'd love to consider it!

And we're off! Here are a few of our favorite entrants:

Keep Westword Free... Since we started Westword, it has been defined as the free, independent voice of Denver, and we would like to keep it that way. Offering our readers free access to incisive coverage of local news, food and culture. Producing stories on everything from political scandals to the hottest new bands, with gutsy reporting, stylish writing, and staffers who've won everything from the Society of Professional Journalists' Sigma Delta Chi feature-writing award to the Casey Medal for Meritorious Journalism. But with local journalism's existence under siege and advertising revenue setbacks having a larger impact, it is important now more than ever for us to rally support behind funding our local journalism. You can help by participating in our "I Support" membership program, allowing us to keep covering Denver with no paywalls.
