We thought something seemed a little hanky when we saw the ad promoting Yerkish‘s upcoming show at the Gothic Theatre with Vices I Admire and the Foot, as its farewell gig. And what do you know? Turns out, everybody’s favorite simian ambassadors are not — we repeat NOT — in fact, preparing to become food for worms, as originally touted.
Rather, the outfit is bidding adieu to its longtime, soon-to-be former timekeeper, Ryan Eschenbach, the man responsible for all the group’s iconic eye-grabbing graphics. He’s leaving to focus on child rearing, his design work and some other nonsense involving a Hall and Oates/Danzig tribute band or something or another. Click through to see footage of his bandmates releasing him back into the wild.
