Cannabis Calendar for the Week of September 14: Ready for Some Kickball?

Enjoy the final few weeks of summer-like weather by becoming one with nature in the mountains — or by playing kickball for kids at City Park — in this week's Cannabis Calendar.

Clover Leaf University will teach a Cannabis Business Compliance Regulation 101 class on Tuesday, September 15, from 4 to 8 p.m. at 3888 East Mexico Avenue. The accredited course teaches students about Colorado's medical and retail marijuana codes, following strict guidelines to stay compliant, and industry-specific technology. Registration is $299 on the CLU course page.

On Wednesday, September 16, Green Labs will host Bend and Blaze – a free, 21+ yoga class with optional cannabis consumption – from 5:15 to 6:30 p.m. Participants must register on the Bend and Blaze eventbrite page.

Broadway dispensary Denver Relief's charity group GREEN TEAM will be assisting Ekar Farms in planting and harvesting organic produce for local food banks on Wednesday, September 16, at 5:30 p.m. at Ekar Farms, 6825 East Alameda Avenue. Free food, drinks and GREEN TEAM T-shirts will be provided for volunteers. Check out the event's Facebook page to learn more. An RSVP is required.

Twisted Sister Yoga will host its Cannabis-Friendly Mountain Yoga Retreat from Wednesday, September 16, to Sunday, September 20. After a short class at Twister Sister Yoga Studio to prepare you for the weekend, you will receive a tour of DANK's marijuana-cultivation facility and information about pot-infused products. Then it's up to a mountain home in the Rockies for four days of yoga, nature and cannabis. Each $1,200-$1,300 ticket includes lodging, meals, yoga classes and transportation. Learn more at the retreat's eventbrite page.

Local artist Heidi Keyes will teach her 21+ Puff, Pass and Paint class at 7 p.m. Saturday, September 19, at 2087 South Grant Street. All equipment is included in the $50 fee, and although cannabis consumption (bring your own) is encouraged, it's not required. Go to the Puff, Pass and Paint website for more information.

Help support Denver Public Schools at the Kick for a Cause Kickball Tournament this Sunday, September 20, from 12 to 4 p.m. at City Park. Presented by Green Labs, Accannadations and the Derrick Martin Foundation, the fundraiser aims to help students in higher-risk environments by giving them the resources to complete high school and pursue post-secondary options. Each team must have eight to twelve members. Register your squad for $300 at the tournament's eventbrite page.
