Cannabis Calendar for the Week of September 9

Planning your schedule? We've got a rundown of all of the cannabis-related events taking place this week -- and beyond -- so you can jot them down in your datebook. Here's our roundup:

The Marijuana for Medical Professionals symposium starts Tuesday, September 9, and runs through Thursday, September 11; medical marijuana experts will be on hand to talk about the medical benefits of cannabis. Admission is $195 to $695, and it happens at the 1770 Sherman Street Event Complex, 1770 Sherman Street. Visit mmjfordoctors.com.

The Grow School continues intensive one-day courses that will teach you everything you need to know about growing marijuana; the course includes a tour of a legal grow. The next classes are Friday, September 12; Saturday, September 13; Sunday, September 14; Monday, September 22; Wednesday, September 24; Saturday, September 27; Sunday, September 28; and Monday, September 29. Dr. Allen Bowling will speak about marijuana and neurological conditions at the Thriving with Neurological Conditions: Science, Sensitivity and Support event on Saturday, September 13. The event is hosted by the Colorado Neurological Institute and runs from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Grand Hyatt Denver, 1750 Welton Street. Admission is $40 per person or $70 for a couple. Try out for The Marijuana Show, a reality program billed as a combination of The Apprentice, American Idol and Shark Tank, on Saturday, September 13, or Sunday, September 14, at the Watering Bowl, 5411 Leetsdale Drive. E-mail [email protected] for information.

Next Tuesday, September 16, visit Mile High Station, 2027 West Colfax Avenue, for CannaSearch, a cannabis-related career fair featuring industry training and networking. Job-seekers can attend for free. It runs from 7:30 a.m. to 9 p.m.; visit cannasearch.careers for information.

Hit the Green with Walking Raven, a charity golf tournament, starts at 1:30 pm. at the Park Hill Golf Club, 4141 East 35th Avenue, on Sunday, September 21. Proceeds will benefit the Colorado Aids Project, and admission starts at $115 for a single. Call 720-327-5613 or e-mail [email protected].
