Dan Maes to announce lieutenant governor pick at noon today

Update below: This just in -- Dan Maes will announce his choice for lieutenant governor during an event at noon today. Will his pick be the sort of person Northern Colorado Tea Party director Lesley Hollywood outlined earlier this morning? Or a person with more standard establishment credentials? We'll let you know early this afternoon. In the meantime, here's the Maes campaign release:

MAES TO ANNOUNCE LIEUTENANT GOVERNOR

ENGLEWOOD -- Colorado Republican gubernatorial candidate Dan Maes will announce his pick for Lieutenant Governor on the Republican ticket today.

What: Dan Maes announces LG pick When: Noon, August 17, 2010 Where: Maes campaign headquarters 11 W Hampden Ave. Englewood, CO

Notes: Public parking is available immediately to the west of campaign headquarters, on the corner of Hampden and Acoma.
