Denver UFO Sighting: August 20, 1949Brief Summary and Analysis:Object was heading 260 deg, altitude 40,000 ft, speed 17,000 mph. Was shaped like a flying wing with heat waves emanating from the trailing edge. Object was estimated to be about the size of a B029 and was the color of aluminum. Ojbect flew in a straight line with no unusual maneuves.

Brief Summary of Sighting: One object, disc shaped, size of hockey puck, reddish glow, object had cone shaped tail of blue flame, disappeared behind mountains. Conclusion: Possible meteor
Brief Summary of Sighting: Round light, deep pink, size of quarter, climbed at about 45 degree angle to NE, seemed to be suspended with jerky movements, gradually diminished in size.Comments: Probably a balloon
Brief Summary and Analysis: Observers watched a large, fiery red ball falling toward the ground. It looked like an aircraft that was crashing until it slowed down. The observers then thought the object was a helicopter, but later movements ended this line of thinking. Now the object looked as if it was coming vertically down. No sound was heard at any time during the observation. As the observers turned to go toward the object, it took off with a burst of speed and finally disappeared from view.Without an exact date, it would be extremely difficult to determine any activity in the area which could have accounted for the sighting. Without such essential information, the case is being carried as insufficient data.
