Update: 1:11 p.m. Friday: We've picked our two winners! Check your email address to see if you're one of them! Thanks for playing along and reading Latest Word.
Only kidding, of course! We know you want to spend every moment you can with your in-laws before they sadly will return home to another state at the end of this glorious Thanksgiving weekend. But two pairs of tickets just landed on the Latest Word desk to the 14th Annual Rocky Mountain Rod & Custom car show...
The event runs from Friday through Sunday at the Colorado Convention Center, 700 14th Street. The tickets normally go for $15 apiece, but we wanted to spread the wealth to you this weekend. Take your father-in-law or that cousin whose head is buried in your refrigerator.
Since you might be killing time at your cubicle right now anyway, we're going to give these two pairs away to two lucky commenters who tell us the year, make and model of their first car. We'll pick our two favorites and leave the tickets under your name at the Westword office, 969 Broadway.
The contest ends at 5 p.m. tomorrow (Thanksgiving) and you have until 5 p.m. on Friday to pick up the tickets. Please leave a valid e-mail address so we can contact you if you're the winner. (Don't worry, we won't share with anyone.)
Rev up, commenters!
