Don’t know if the pranksters who congregated on the 16th Street Mall over the weekend constitute a flash mob. “Flash large grouping” is more like it. Still, they managed to take shoppers by storm with a routine for “Safety Dance,” a tune originally performed by ’80s staples Men Without Hats but recently remade for a flash-mob segment of Glee.
