Open your wallets! DIA officials need $1 billion to redesign the main terminal building. The money will pay for the removal of the security screening stations, and their long lines, from the "great hall' of Jeppesen Terminal. The plan is to draw layover travelers with loose change from terminals A, B and C and provide them with all the space they need to make confused impulse purchases. Oh, and another $1.4 billion dollars will be needed by RTD to build a rail station for the airport train. Maybe it is time to put their big ideas on a budget....
