Known across town for his sparkling personality and civic enthusiasm, Denver Broncos quarterback Kyle Orton has raced to the front of the USA Pro Cycling Challenge fan pack to welcome the inaugural event to sport-crazy Colorado... As shown in the illustration above, Kyle Orton hops on a B-Cycle for a pleasant ride to his favorite neighborhood bar after another successful day of "busting his hump" down at "the office."

Kyle enjoys kicking back with a pint (or two!) of Fat Tire Amber Ale and a basket of shredded Colorado lamb and bacon bleu-cheese sliders to watch the exciting USA Pro Cycling Challenge race highlights broadcast every day on the Versus Network.

Riding on his borrowed bike allows Kyle Orton to feel the wind in his helmet and dream that he is leading a pack of elite cyclists instead of a team of wild horses.

Keep Westword Free... Since we started Westword, it has been defined as the free, independent voice of Denver, and we would like to keep it that way. Offering our readers free access to incisive coverage of local news, food and culture. Producing stories on everything from political scandals to the hottest new bands, with gutsy reporting, stylish writing, and staffers who've won everything from the Society of Professional Journalists' Sigma Delta Chi feature-writing award to the Casey Medal for Meritorious Journalism. But with local journalism's existence under siege and advertising revenue setbacks having a larger impact, it is important now more than ever for us to rally support behind funding our local journalism.
