LaLa Vazquez appears to be one of the driving forces behind hubby Carmelo Anthony’s desire for a trade to the New York Knicks — one reason why the Nuggets are reportedly lobbying her as well as Melo to stay. Problem is, she seems obsessed with bright lights, the big city and self-promotion — as a new article about her Twitter feed demonstrates.
“Trending Topics,” from the December/January issue of Vibe, isn’t available on the magazine’s website, and the click-to-enlarge image of the two-page spread on Vazquez’s website, IAmLaLa.com (it’s on view above), isn’t working at this writing. But the piece consists of various tweets from LaLa’s overflowing Twitter feed, coupled with her explanations of what inspired them.
Of course, some of the mini-missives are pretty much self-explanatory — like this one about rumors that she’s had butt implants:
im only going to say this once I DONT HAVE BOOTY IMPLANTS! Im too scared 2 get them plus i heard its really uncomfortable 2 sit down! LOLless than a minute ago via webLA LA lala
Of course, there’s a good chance no one had heard such whispers until she denied them — but she joked in a followup tweet that she isn’t dead-set against any such augmentation. She wrote: “AND….if i were to get any type of implants it would be in these skinny ass ankles of mine! LOL.”
Then there’s this:
Ok I just saw two dolphins having sex..I’m a little traumatized… *veryweirdinanaggressivekindofway* WOWless than a minute ago via ÜberTwitterLA LA lala
In the Vibe piece, Vazquez reveals that she was visiting an aquarium with Melo and their young son, Kiyan, when a male dolphin whipped out his penis and inserted it into a female’s “slit.” At that point, she hustled Kiyan away while Carmelo took photos. Maybe he can work out an endorsement deal with the Discovery Channel.
LaLa’s tweets are filled with dropped names (like Kim Kardashian and Ludacris among many, many others) as well as hype about projects, meetings and more. She also boosts Anthony’s appearances with the Nuggets — but she mostly avoids making any comments that fans might see as pushing him to sign with one team or another. Typical is a July 4 tweet that reads, “This year’s NBA free agency is insane. That’s all I’m gonna say. Wow.”
Melo is part of next year’s free-agent class, and it’s looking increasingly likely that he’ll be moved to his destination of choice, the New York Knicks, prior to the February 24 trade deadline. Judging by LaLa’s love of glitz, it’s hard to imagine her shedding any tears — via Twitter or otherwise — if that comes to pass.
