Support the independent voice of Denver and help keep the future of Westword free.
Police have declared that a thirty-year-old man was specifically targeted for murder, despite no obvious external trauma. The man was found inside the house. "In this case, we're looking to the coroner's office to tell us the cause of death," says Detective John White.
The police responded to a report of a deceased man at 4570 Granby Way in Northeast Denver yesterday at 3:40 p.m. When they arrived on the scene, officers became suspicious that foul play was involved. The Homicide Unit was called and determined the death to be a homicide.
The victim's name has not been released.
This is the second homicide in Northeast Denver in the past week, after last week's shooting in the 2900 block of North Pontiac Street.
