Mashable, probably the Internet's premier website covering social media in all of its forms, is coming to Denver Thursday, August 6 as part of a six-city road trip to promote the
Summer of Social Good campaign. The idea is to leverage the power of social media for the benefit of the social good -- makes sense, and not just because both parts of that sentence have the word social in them.
The #HyattForGood Tweetup Tour, as it is called, is "an informal mixer for the social media community." As you may have surmised from the name, it will be at a Hyatt hotel -- the Grand Hyatt Denver, 1750 Welton Street. And not only will it be a good opportunity to met and mingle with some of Denver's local social media community (and maybe slip a resume to the Mashable folks -- they could probably use a Denver rep, right?), 100 percent of the $10 ticket price goes to charity: the World Wildlife Foundation, the Humane Society, Oxfam and LiveSTRONG are the beneficiaries of all this social media largesse. Hope to see you there.
