The man who was found dead Sunday on the 1600 block of South Ouray, an area shown in the graphic above (if you have problems seeing the image, click “View Larger Map”), has been identified as Miguel Angel Chavez, 24. He had been shot and run over by a car. The Aurora Coroner’s Office has ruled his death a homicide. Read the latest Aurora Police Department release after the jump.

Aurora Police Department release:

Major Crimes/Homicide detectives are releasing the name of the man found in the 1600 block of South Ouray Street early yesterday morning.

He has been identified as Miguel Angel Chavez, DOB: 05.02.1985.

The Arapahoe County Coroner’s Office has ruled the death a homicide.

Mr. Chavez suffered one gunshot wound to the upper body. It appears he was also run over with a car, but it is unknown if that happened at the time of the shooting or sometime afterward.

There is no suspect information available for release at this time.
