Support the independent voice of Denver and help keep the future of Westword free.
National Day of Johns Arrests is a bit of a misnomer. Rather than limiting their activities to a 24-hour period, law enforcers set aside the period between January 15 to February 1 to target johns -- clients of prostitutes. A total of 37 agencies reportedly participated nationwide, including the Denver Police Department. The result was scores of arrests and, presumably, a lot of imagined coitus interruptus. Look below to see the number of arrests per state and city, courtesy of 9News, as well as images and a video from a PBS piece on National Day of Johns Arrests.
