In recent months, we’ve highlighted separate vintage photo collections shared on the Aurora Police Department Facebook page, featuring badass Aurora cops from the ’70s and the ’80s.

Now, we venture even further into the past, via vivid images that date back to the 1950s — including a highly unusual shot of a detective appearing to point a revolver at himself.
