Support the independent voice of Denver and help keep the future of Westword free.

Longtime Denver residents know that this summer has hardly been among the most sweltering in the community's history.

In fact, the Mile High City hasn't registered a 100-degree day since 2012.

But by 2015 standards, today's predicted high of 93 degrees should feel plenty hot —  so much so that by the afternoon, the idea of wearing clothes may seem like absolute torture.

Problem is, there are certain social conventions (and controversial public-indecency laws in places like Fort Collins) that make going au naturel potentially problematic outside the confines of our own homes.

We don't know if the folks in the following shots — featured in a vintage post about the Denver Face Paint and Body Art Jam — could manage to go clothing-free thanks to strategically placed designs and graphics. But we can dream, can't we?

Check out a slew of shots perfect for the weather. But be warned: Some of them are NSFW.

Keep Westword Free... Since we started Westword, it has been defined as the free, independent voice of Denver, and we would like to keep it that way. Offering our readers free access to incisive coverage of local news, food and culture. Producing stories on everything from political scandals to the hottest new bands, with gutsy reporting, stylish writing, and staffers who've won everything from the Society of Professional Journalists' Sigma Delta Chi feature-writing award to the Casey Medal for Meritorious Journalism. But with local journalism's existence under siege and advertising revenue setbacks having a larger impact, it is important now more than ever for us to rally support behind funding our local journalism. You can help by participating in our "I Support" membership program, allowing us to keep covering Denver with no paywalls.
