The National Western Stock Show parade moseyed down 17th Street yesterday, and Mayor Michael Hancock was in the lead, waving to the crowds. He had reason to smile: In November, voters approve plans to extend Denver's lodging tax indefinitely, assigning it to the new National Western Center that will not only give the stock show new facilities, but open up a whole portion of north Denver to festivals and other activities...including development. The stock show runs through January 24 at the soon-to-be-redeveloped National Western Complex; keep reading for more looks at the parade.
