Denver rent isn’t cheap – but at least the prices are beginning to level off.
That’s the overall message delivered in the Apartment Association of Metro Denver’s report about apartment and rental rates in the Mile High City during the fourth quarter of 2015.
According to the massive survey, vacancy rates increased in every county surveyed during that period, while average and per-square-foot rental prices leveled off and median rents actually went down.
Drilling deeper into the numbers reveals even more about rent variation even within the same community, depending upon the size of the building in question. As you’ll see, there are significant price swings for places with six units or fewer, those boasting between seven and 36 units, ones featuring more than 37 units and, especially, structures that are five stories tall or higher.
