Focus on the Family frontman James Dobson was recently elected to join the National Radio Hall of Fame — and the Colorado Springs organization is inviting listeners to join in the celebration at Chicago’s Renaissance Hotel on November 8. But those who show up will likely encounter a slew of people less than thrilled about Dobson’s honor. DumpDobson.com, a website affiliated with Truth Wins Out and the Gay Liberation Network, is urging radio listeners to contact execs at the Museum of Broadcast Communications, which oversees the Hall, and demand that the decision to include Dobson be reversed. And if the Museum fails to act, a November 8 protest at the Renaissance has already been announced. Welcome to Chicago, Mr. Dobson!
