William Breathes's post about state health officials calling for new Medical Marijuana Registry rules spurred suggestions aplenty. But to this reader, the distinction Colorado makes between recreational cannabis and medical marijuana creates more problems than it solves.
Che Weller writes:
We need to stop the medical v. recreational debate. It's all therapeutic cannabis whether it is for having fun, or easing an ailment. The taxes need to come way, way down. No black market dealer charges tax , and if they do charge a "street tax," it is allways included in the price .40 bucks: Why would anyone go to a shop that charges 40 for an eighth + a 10 dollar tax. Yer letting them turn this into a nasty little monster.
