Our post about one site's picks for Colorado's most family friendly cities notes that Denver didn't make the top ten.
Indeed, the Mile High City finished in thirteenth place on the list.
Some of our commenters reject this conclusion — but this reader wholeheartedly agrees with it.

Denver sucks anymore. Everytime I go downtown, I am constantly harassed on the 16th St. Mall by a bunch of obnoxious, rude as fuck panhandling teenagers looking for a handout to buy weed. I'm so sick of being forced to look at their asses cuz they're too fucking lazy to pull their damn pants up. I went downtown about a month ago. UGH. It was the first time I've been downtown in quite awhile . Needless to say, I won't be going back anytime soon.
Keep Westword Free... Since we started Westword, it has been defined as the free, independent voice of Denver, and we would like to keep it that way. Offering our readers free access to incisive coverage of local news, food and culture. Producing stories on everything from political scandals to the hottest new bands, with gutsy reporting, stylish writing, and staffers who've won everything from the Society of Professional Journalists' Sigma Delta Chi feature-writing award to the Casey Medal for Meritorious Journalism. But with local journalism's existence under siege and advertising revenue setbacks having a larger impact, it is important now more than ever for us to rally support behind funding our local journalism. You can help by participating in our "I Support" membership program, allowing us to keep covering Denver with no paywalls.
