This week’s sad pay phone hangs dormant underneath the overhang of the Kingdom of Glory Christian Center.
This phone seems to shy away from passersby, hiding in the shadows like the bogeyman of outmoded communication devices.
Using this phone during the daytime is innocent enough, but as the sun goes down, taking its receiver in hand may make you look like you’re up to no good.
Still, this pay phone has been helping shadow-walkers heading to or from the light rail keep in touch for who knows how long.
Just like all of the other sad pay phones, this one is no stranger to scratches, etchings, markers, dirt and grime. But in contrast to the others we’ve pictured so far, this one is at least equipped with a phone book — so the shadow-walkers can find you!
