And while she may be an unknown quantity for most Coloradans, at least one of our state's prominent residents has dealt with her in the past -- and came out of the experience worse for the wear. In 1995, as a U.S. District Judge, Sotomayor issued an injunction against Major League Baseball owners for violating labor law in its dealings with striking players. Among the key members of the owners' negotiating team: then-Colorado Rockies owner Jerry McMorris.
