In January 2014, we shared a pot entitled "The ABCs of Denver's Unregistered Sex Offenders," which offered an overview of the issue in the city.

Since there were more than 100 unregistered sex offenders on Denver's most wanted list, we featured a representative sample: one from each letter of the alphabet. Only "U" and "X" weren't represented.

How many of those 24 are either in custody or back in compliance nearly a year and a half later? Just seven — meaning seventeen remain out there, including Federico Quinones, seen here, who's been wanted since 2008.

Continue to see photos and information about all of those who remain at large. If you recognize anyone phone the Denver police at 720-913-6152.

Send your story tips to the author, Michael Roberts.

Keep Westword Free... Since we started Westword, it has been defined as the free, independent voice of Denver, and we would like to keep it that way. Offering our readers free access to incisive coverage of local news, food and culture. Producing stories on everything from political scandals to the hottest new bands, with gutsy reporting, stylish writing, and staffers who've won everything from the Society of Professional Journalists' Sigma Delta Chi feature-writing award to the Casey Medal for Meritorious Journalism. But with local journalism's existence under siege and advertising revenue setbacks having a larger impact, it is important now more than ever for us to rally support behind funding our local journalism.
