Okay, now that the kid-in-a-runaway-balloon-saga has ended safely with six-year-old Falcon Heene discovered hiding in the garage’s attic, I can finally say out loud what every male who came of age in the 80s was thinking while viewing the fantasical footage of the silver, billowing aircraft shooting through the sky — Flight of the Navigator!
Seriously, little Falcon, I’m pissed that you took us all on this emotional rollercoaster, but I’m actually stoked that you’ve given me a reason to revisit this 1986 classic about a boy, UFOs and time travel.
