Tim Tebow may have said yesterday that he’s changed his dog’s name from Bronco to Bronx now that he is a New York Jet. But it’s not as if the Broncos hadn’t dissed Tebow first.
According to the team’s web site, the Broncos have reassigned Tebow’s famous number — the number that sold more jersey than anyone else’s for many months and became synonymous with the QB’s name — to Mark Dell.
Who?
Mark Dell. You haven’t heard of him because the undrafted rookie wide receiver out of Michigan State was cut last year in August, before the regular season started. But Dell, who wore number 83 in 2011, is back and trying to make the team again.

And he’s no slouch: Dell finished his college career ranked sixth in school history with 2,136 receiving yards, seventh with 133 receptions and thirteenth with twelve receiving TDs.
Whether Dell makes the team this story is another story. But even if he doesn’t, there’s going to be a lot of Dell fans in the stands this year — even they don’t realize it.
