A recent Washington Post headline reads, “Sorry Broncos, Almost Everyone Betting on Panthers in Super Bowl 50” – and that’s no exaggeration.
An overwhelming number of bettors have placed their money on Cam Newton and the Panthers – and as a result, the point spread has widened.
Carolina opened as a 3.5 point favorite to win the big game on February 7, but that number has grown to 5.5 points or more. And as more and more prognosticators predict a Panthers victory, expect those digits to keep moving higher.
Twitter Nation also thinks Cam and company will spoil what could be Peyton Manning’s last rodeo. But we managed to find some die-hard fans who actually think the Broncos will shock the world and win.
