In recent days, reports have suggested that Colorado State University is being seriously considered for membership in the Big 12 – a move from a smaller conference, the Mountain West, to an undeniably major one.
And a big part of its Big 12 appeal is its new stadium, which is currently under construction.
CSU athletic direction Joe Parker has just announced that the $220 million project is on-budget and on-time for a fall 2017 debut – and the timing of these statements probably isn’t coincidental.
Meanwhile, CSU is keeping students, staffers and alums informed about the stadium’s progress by way of a multimedia website loaded with cool stuff.
Will you step up to support Westword this year?
We’re aiming to raise $50,000 by December 31, so we can continue covering what matters most to this community. If Westword matters to you, please take action and contribute today, so when news happens, our reporters can be there.
